So, I uploaded a bunch of stuff this week, which was pretty fun. It's nice to fill out my gallery a bit since it has been a year since I had last uploaded. Spain was so long ago and I hadn't put up all my best pics! I also took a painting course in the fall to see what tricks and techniques I was missing out on as an untrained artist. Well, as it turns out I was missing out on the whole colour theory thing, I sort of always played it by eye. Now I try to use complementary and contrasting colours. Still no progress on the lights and darks though (is it possible to be tone blind?) Ah well, let me know what you think of the more recent paintings: I am trying to be less erratic and spontaneous with the paint and more methodical; it saves canvas and paint!
